Shivering

SHIVERING / Sound Performance in the context of “Connecting Worlds”
Project by Parco Fluviale Gessostura / Cuneo (Italy) & Musée de Merveilles Tende (France)
Curated by Andrea Lerda

For her performance "Shivering" artist and composer Magda Drozd uses sound material recorded on a walk between Limone and Tende. The audience experiences a concert of a special kind where the hiking practice and the surroundings of the landscape are interwoven within soothing, ambient, and melancholic melodies that are looking back on a natural disaster through the lens of the present and future of climate change. Shivering metaphorically stands for something that is in a state of transformation, but also of destruction or discomfort. Are we already shivering because of the anxiety that we feel towards the changes we experience?

The work was shown in dialogue with the video work of Michael Höpfner.
